This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices for Adjace (adjace.com). This privacy notice applies solely to information collected by this website. It will notify you of the following:
- What personally identifiable information is collected from you through the website, how it is used and with whom it may be shared.
- What choices are available to you regarding the use of your data.
- The security procedures in place to protect the misuse of your information.
INFORMATION COLLECTION, USE, AND SHARING
In order to use this website, administrators and users must first complete the registration form. During registration administrators and users are required to give certain information (namely, email address).
We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via registration and synchronization from your database. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization for any reason at any time.
We will never contact any church/organization members. From time to time, we will contact church administrators via email to tell them about software updates or to send other announcements regarding Adjace.
YOUR ACCESS TO AND CONTROL OVER INFORMATION
You have control over when membership data is synchronized to Adjace and which membership data is available to those with access to the directory. You control this by your settings.
If you wish to remove your account and all related data, you can do this at any time. Users can remove their accounts from the profile page. Administrators can remove their church's account from the settings/subscription page.
SECURITY
To protect the privacy of your church/organization members, we don’t allow a user access to your directory till the user has verified ownership of the e-mail address that matches the e-mail address you have on file. This is our proof of identity.
Only Deft Flux employees who need the information to perform a specific job (i.e. support) are granted access to the Adjace database or any personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are secured by usernames, passwords, and a firewall which only allow access by Deft Flux servers. Furthermore, inside the database all data are encrypted at rest. This means that the data stored on our servers are not viewable without the proper encryption keys.
Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way (using SSL). You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the Web page.
All credit card transactions, including the collection of payment information and payment processing, are performed using Stripe (stripe.com) and processed using the highest industry security standards. We do not store any of this information on our servers.
COOKIES
We use "cookies" on this site. A cookie is a piece of data stored on a site visitor's hard drive to help us improve your access to our site and identify repeat visitors to our site. For instance, when we use a cookie to identify you, you would not have to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time while on our site. Cookies can also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our site. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information on our site.
