Most browsers don't yet properly handle image orientation metadata, so we have to make sure they're manually rotated before they're put on the file server (which serves them directly to the browser). If you upload portraits using Adjace, Adjace will orient them correctly during the upload. If you upload them using Planning Center, you'll need to reorient them yourself before you upload them, which isn't an easy thing to do. Adjace also does some right-sizing of the images when you upload them. Therefore, we recommend uploading portraits using Adjace.
